Squatters They Gonna Squat....

Squatters are people who move into abandoned, foreclosed, or otherwise unoccupied homes or premises. Squatting in itself isn’t seen as a criminal act but rather a civil conflict in the Uk. The police hands off as long as there is no proof of breaking and entering. Thus you’re left with the only option of going to court to have the squatter(s) evicted which sometimes can be a lengthy process, especially if they can establish they have tenants rights/the property was completely abandoned by the owner.

It’s annoying reading about squatters; I literally want to haul them out of the houses they invade… Especially those who move into houses after the owner steps out for a few hours, or like the highly publicized one of a doctor who took his pregnant wife on a false labor run only to come home to find their house occupied. The locks changed and police unable to do anything about it and a lengthy legal process to regain control of your house.

These people stay watching, the ‘sensible ones’ only move in once they’ve observed the house has been unoccupied for a long long time before moving in… and then they send out messages and invite their friends to move in with them. Other’s just look for mischief and move in at any chance they get.

That's why you have to keep your house secured.
Your body is the temple of the lord. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16 Thus you can imagine how beautiful and attractive it is. For God to dwell in us, He must have seen such splendor in us, like he created us to be, a home that beats all homes, one of style, opulence and comfort. You know, like the temple of old was decorated but even better.
This has made us attractive dwellings to the trespassers. They stay watching and waiting for us to make that move, the wrong move that opens a window for them to move in and change the locks…

You see, God dwells in us and never intends to leave us, but most times, we make his dwelling uncomfortable for Him. We ignore him and refuse to have conversations with him, we refuse to study his words to find out the wonderful plans he has for His home... we also make him unwelcome because of our sin, even those as 'little' as a 'little white lie', forgiveness, gossip etc. Opening the door and making way for the Holy Spirit to stroll out. Where the Lord in the person of the Holy Spirit is away from our body, His precious temple… the squatters use the first opportunity they get to run and change the locks, work on our heart, harden it and make it harder for us to evict them and make way for the real owner of the home to come back in.

"If for any reason the Holy Spirit leaves you, a vacuum is created and that is exactly what satan is looking for" Benny Hinn (Good morning Holy Spirit)

The size and location of your house does not keep the squatters away, I mean, the nerve of the squatters, moving into houses in the west end...
• In 2001, a £1.5m London house owned by former BBC chairman Gavyn Davies was taken over by squatters for 10 days. The uninvited guests annoyed neighbours with incessant bongo-playing.
• In 1993, 10 squatters moved into a house in west London belonging to the Sultan of Brunei. Though there were photographs in the property of the sultan with the Queen, the squatters said they did not know who owned the house until efforts to evict them were taken on behalf of "the government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam".

7.5million house taken over by squatters features a 100-yard lake, seven kitchens, 17 bathrooms, 14 reception rooms, ballroom, tennis court, spa, sauna and steam room, and orangery. The squatters claim the house was unlocked and they did not do any damage to the property before while entering. Johnny Depp & John Terry are said to have inspected the property source
It doesn’t matter how great a child of God you are, it doesn't matter how big a church you pastor… Let the spirit out door for just a second and the trespassers are in. And when they get the big homes, they're always eager to get more of their friends to move in, thus they call in for back up… Get born again, and grief the Holy Spirit, send him out of your home, and the spirits contrary to God's spirits come back to peep at your home, see if maybe they would get lucky... Have you noticed how when mighty men of God fall, they fall hard? The scandal always seems to swallow all the works of their ministry.

I read that Once squatters are served with an IPO, they must leave the property within 24 hours. If they don’t leave, they are committing a crime and may be arrested. It is also a crime for them to return to the property within 12 months of the date of service of the order. Now that's similar with this bible verse...
" But when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through dry [arid] places in search of rest, but it does not find any. Then it says, I will go back to my house from which I came out. And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, put in order, and decorated. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and make their home there...." Matthew 12:43-45
You see, they're evicted, but they roam about, and still sort of watch and wait for a chance to come back. Not immediately maybe, but soon enough, but this time with back up.

Guard your home with great care. Securely lock your doors. Keep the security lights on at night, to show there's someone residing in there. Engage the Spirit of God, give Him the chance to work in your temple that He makes His home. Let him cook you meals with His words that you read, let Him feed you with His special daily bread. Have conversations with Him in prayer, shun sin, mow your lawn and make your home look inhabited... make your home a comfortable abode for God. Where God lives there is Good success, joy and peace...
