Window Display...

Sometimes you walk by a store and you’re stopped in your tracks by the window dressing.
And even when you’ve told yourself you have no time for shopping, you’re saving your money or you don’t need new things, you find yourself walking into the store because of the absolutely gorgeous window display, and end up buying not only what you saw on the display but more... because the shopping monster that was beautifully curtailed by you was unleashed by just an enticing window display!

I know how important a widow dressing is. I have a friend who worked for a top designer brand and had the responsibility of what to put on the window, and how to put it. It's a tough job... It takes time. And God took His time with us to make us His window display.

As Christians, we are “ a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)
We are window dressings of Christ! His bill board advertisement and runway models of this life He’s given us that is good, that is full, rich and satisfying. But it feels like once they put some of us on the window of ‘grace shop’, we just get silly and muddle the whole display up so bad that it drives potential ‘customers’ away.

Instead of displaying this splendor, a lot of people are distorting it with the way they choose to interpret life, so much that people aren’t even tempted by what we display in the name of the Lord. We give up so easily. Judge so harshly. Love so sparingly. Fold under trials, and are spoilt sulking babies who refuse to STAND in the face of illusions of the 'shadow of death(Psm 23:4)' in the next room where our answer waits for us to grab it.

It hurts to hear people talk about ‘church people’ with so much disdain, pain and mockery... it hurts because they’re far from the truth, and more so, because when you sit with them and listen, they are justified for their offense because they truly have been hurt, so hurt that they go beyond reason in their pain. Thus they’re offended not just at the store owner and the window display, but at the creative director of the store, the whole management and board of directors... at God!

Have you seen how there’s a backlash for one wrong move when an ad is displayed? Either because the people perceive it to be racist or feel its body shaming a certain group etc, the company sufferers lose and insults for an ignorant decision in its ad, which equals to a window display.

How are you displaying God? How are you displaying this grace and love? Are the people blaspheming God because of you?(Romans2:24)
Let’s do better, let’s be better this year.... less greed, more integrity, less selfishness, more love.... just less of us that distorts the view of grace and more of God, leaning on Him so the world can see a true picture of grace, how it truly makes perfect the imperfect, how it truly beautifies and they get changed by it... When they stop in their tracks because of the gospel your live preaches without even talking to them, and then they step into this life you display just to ‘window shop’, and when they are in, they cant help but be consumed with what they see, and keep getting more, that they become the window dressing for the next person.

“Throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite, limitless riches of his grace and kindness, which was showered upon us in Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 2:7 TPT

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”
Ephesians 2:10 TPT
