Nine Steps to 35...

It’s 9 days to 35.

I took the above picture at my sister’s 40^th last year November. It was a nice party where we let loose and I basked in the joy of having my family around me... an answered prayer, you know like a cloud the size of a fist. God answers prayers… that is my testimony. I don’t fail to see it even when it’s the size of a fist in the clouds, it is God’s faithfulness on display for me. 

I judge God faithful… always. I see His answered prayers and I know He hears me always. No prayer is missed… God is a hands-on dad, and we are blessed to be called His children.

I am a closet dancing queen… and the one I dance for the most is God. Why wouldn’t I? why shouldn’t I? He is and has been my reason, I am nothing without Him. Absolutely nothing. He is my anchor, and as I enter 35, I want to show up and jump in boldly into the deep He calls me to, knowing He is a trusted anchor, I will not be lost.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.” Luke 14:18-19(TPT)

This is my purpose. To be hope for the poor by announcing the good news… the gospel… the love of God. And I intend to live fully in it. John Maxwell says, encouragement is oxygen for the soul. I want to be a supplier of this oxygen to those out of breath… with words of HOPE… That Christ has come and reconciled us with God. That He has paid the highest price and saved us from our sin. That God loves us… 

Say with me “Because the Spirit of God is upon me, I am a supplier of hope… I am a carrier of this gospel of Christ. Through me many come to the knowledge of Christ and the peace found in Him."
